In a bid to enhance the capacity of faculty members of the Grand Gedeh University College (GGUC), the institution has launched a comprehensive development initiative for faculty members.

Spearheaded by Dr. Eric Z.M. Gbotoe, the university’s president, the “Professor Enhancement & Effectiveness Training” program aims to strengthen the skills and expertise of its teaching staff.

The month-long training, which began 7 July, is being conducted by Dr. Randy Nelson, a retired professor from the United States, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program.

Participants care expected to learn valuable strategies and techniques aimed at improving their teaching skills and overall effectiveness, according to organizers of the training program.

The program is inclusive of all employed and contracted lecturers and instructors at GGUC, reflecting the university’s commitment to investing in the entirety of those it has hired to impart knowledge.

“The training represents a significant advancement in our efforts to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education possible,” stated Bishop Abraham T. Gbarweay, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs.

“Dr. Gbotoe’s foresight in recognizing the necessity to continually upgrade the capacity of members of the GGUC faculty is praiseworthy, and we believe this initiative will have a long-term positive effect on our institution,” Gbarweay emphasized.

The “Professor Enhancement and Effectiveness Training” program will address a variety of pertinent topics in modern pedagogy, focusing on innovative teaching methods and effective strategies for meeting diverse human needs in education.

GGUC’s commitment to faculty development highlights its goal of becoming a prominent institution of higher learning in Liberia.

The university is optimistic that this training will enhance not only the instructors’ skills but also provide an enriched learning environment for students of the institution.
