Grand Kru County, Liberia –Wednesday, August 13, 2025- The Grand Kru Development Association (GKDA) based in the United States has begun phase two of its armchairs distribution initiative, aimed at enhancing the educational environment in Grand Kru County.
This latest phase specifically targets three key institutions: Bahwen Public School, Gblaborken Public School, and Beloken Public School; all of which are striving to improve their learning conditions.
The project, which began earlier this year, seeks to provide comfortable seating for students and educators, thereby promoting a conducive atmosphere for learning.
Seedee Kumeh, a key representative of the GKDA, emphasized the importance of the project during a recent distribution event in the county.
He encouraged school officials and students to utilize the chairs for their intended purpose, underscoring that these resources are vital for the community’s educational advancement.
“Today marks an important step in our commitment to enhancing education in Grand Kru,” Kumeh stated. “We believe that providing these armchairs will not only improve student comfort but also encourage attendance and participation in classes. It is essential that these chairs are used appropriately to maximize their benefits.”
Local officials, teachers, and parents gathered for the distribution ceremony, expressing gratitude for the association’s ongoing support. “The impact of this donation will be felt not only in the students’ physical comfort but also in their overall academic performance,” Abel Nah, a representative from Bahwen Public School.
The Grand Kru Development Association has been actively working in the county to bridge educational gaps in Grand Kru through various initiatives, ranging from infrastructure support to academic resources.
