Monrovia-Thursday, June 12, 2025- Oil Palm Company Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL) has launched phase two of its Livelihood Support Program as part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), for the MOU host communities in Sinoe.

The GVL livelihood program aims to build the capacity and capability of communities to improve their agricultural practices for both income generation and food security sustainability.

It initially focuses on existing farm crops like cassava, plantain, corn and vegetables including pepper, water million, eggplants and cucumber. GVL provides technical, advisory and some material supports to the selected communities in each MOU area and employees in each estate.

GVL CEO Johanes Handojo encouraged community dwellers take advantage of the project as it stands to benefit them. “Please take this project serious because it is for your own benefit, if you take good care of it, you will generate good money”.

GVL CEO Johanes Handojo tells participating community actors to take the project seriously and apply themselves.

He added that as long as it will generate income for the communities, GVL is willing to give more support. “We are willing to give you more support as long this will bring money for you and you’re also willing to put in more time and effort”. GVL CEO Johanes told community dwellers during a site visit.

The project which main funding is initially invested into purchase of seedlings, farming tools and to support operations of the program is in four communities in Sinoe County including Du-Wolee, Grisgsby Farm, Snohgbeh town and Kabada

GVL remains committed to improving the well-being of its employees and host communities in Southeastern Liberia through such programs and its operations.
