Lawalazu Town, Voinjama District | Thursday, Dec. 11,2025| A 20-year-old alleged murderer, Kullie Massayan has admitted to police preliminary investigation that he intentionally murdered the late Thomas Kpakolo, aged 55 with a cutlass in Lawalazu Town, Voinjama District.
According to Lofa County Assistant Commissioner of Police, Tarnue Kerkula, the murder case was reported on December 6, 2025 to police and they immediately rushed to execute the arrest of the alleged doer in person of Kullie Massayan.
ACP Tarnue Kerkula informed this news platform that three persons were first arrested, but after intensive investigation, it was noticed that the main suspect escaped to neighboring Guinea for refuge.
ACP Tarnue Kerkula said, following several security maneuvers in Guinea, the main suspect got unveiled and was subsequently arrested.
The suspect, Kullie Massayan was brought back to Liberia for impartial and detailed investigation; during which, he admitted to Killing the late Thomas Kpakolo in Lawalazu Town before fleeing to neighboring Guinea.
Kullie Massayan told Police that he intentionally killed the victim because the trauma that he received from the Liberian civil war and secondly, he allegedly worked for the late Thomas Kpakolo for three days without pay; something which prompted him to killed Thomas Kpakolo.
When quizzed as to how he felt after killing Kpakolo, Kullie Massayan expressed no emotion and went ahead to add: “I have no regret for my actions.”
Meanwhile, he has been charged with manslaughter and forwarded to the tenth Judicial Circuit court in Voinjama for trial and is currently at the Voinjama Central Prison awaiting trial.
The late Thomas Kpakolo was turned over to the family for burial after 15 men jury report which suggested of an act of foul play.
The victim left behind wife and children in Lawalazu, his home town.
