    Improving Access to Justice as Government of Liberia Breaks Ground for 10th Judicial Complex in Lofa

    Voinjama City, Lofa County |Feb. 11, 2026| It appears that the Government of Liberia continues to concretize its commitment to access to justice nationwide as it breaks ground for a new judicial complex, otherwise known as the 10th Judicial Circuit court in Voinjama City.

    On Monday February 9, 2026 The Government of Liberia through the Justice Ministry broke grounds for the Construction of a modern 10th Judicial Circuit court Complex in Voinjama city to create enabling environment in promoting access to Justice across rural Liberia.

    The 10th Judicial Circuit Complex when completed, will contain a residential area for Judges and other offices for judicial actors in Lofa County.

    Providing summary overview of the project, Lofa Electoral District #1 Representative Hon. Thomas Fallah said, the complex will be built on  five acres of land which was bought by the Lofa Legislative Caucus for the amount of USD$ 26,000.00  including the survey fee as well as titled deed in the name of the Ministry of Justice.

    Both the designs of the 10th Judicial Complex and the Judges’ residence.

    According to Representative Fallah, the Lofa Legislative Caucus contributed the money to make sure that Lofa benefit from the President of Liberia gesture to the people the county.

    The 10th Judicial Circuit court Complex project is estimated at United States Dollars $3.2 million and is expected to be fully completed in 12 months. Performing the groundbreaking ceremony in Voinjama City, Liberia Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Sr., encouraged Lofaians to consider and take the project as their own and protect the contractors as they do their job.

    “In any democratic country, access to Justice should never be overlooked or downplayed by citizens; and that is the reason why the President of Liberia and the Lofa Legislative Caucus is investing in this Judicial Complex here in Voinjama City, Lofa County,” Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung said in Special remarks.

    Prior to the groundbreaking ceremony of the 10th Judicial Circuit Complex, the Court was occupying a public building in Central Voinjama precisely around the Administrative building.
