Sinoe County – A delegation of Indian investors headed by Nanditha Nagaraju, is currently in Liberia to explore investment opportunities, and while in the country, the delegation will tour Golden Veroleum (Liberia) Incorporated (GVL) Butaw and Tarjuawon estates, as well as the Samuel Alfred Ross Port in Greenville, Sinoe County.

Today, the Indian delegation commenced the tour, which is aimed at evaluating possible agricultural investments and potential infrastructural developments, with a focus on housing facilities and production sites, in that part of the country.

The visitor’s tour of these facilities demonstrates the potential for collaboration and investment in Sinoe County, paving the way for a brighter economic future.

Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan, yesterday officially welcomed the visiting Indian delegation, emphasizing the importance of the tour in bolstering investors’ confidence and showcasing opportunities in Sinoe’s agricultural sector.

During the welcoming ceremony of the Indian investors, Golden Veroleum Liberia Sustainability Manager Roosevelt Wleh provided insights into operational management and sustainability practices of GVL, demonstrating the company’s commitment to undertaking agricultural works responsibly.

For her part, Head of delegation of the visiting Indian investment team, Madam Nanditha Nagaraju, expressed interest in investing in Liberia, in paddy and vegetable cultivation, using climate-controlled farming techniques.

The investors have a plan to also train locals here in business management and cultivation practices to foster sustainable growth, according to Nagaraju.

The Indian delegation’s visit marks a significant opportunity for economic development in Sinoe County, with potential benefits including job creation, economic growth, capacity-building, and among others.
