    Journalist Emmanuel Koffa Praised For His Relentless Coverage Of Grand Kru County

    Grand Kru County Senator, Numene T.H. Bartekwa has described Liberian Journalist, Emmanuel Koffa as extraordinary journalist for his courage and commitment to highlighting news from Grand Kru County and the Southeast at large. The Lawmaker’s praises is in a strong show of support for local journalists who are sacrificing their time and resources to unearth ills in hard-to reach terrains.   

    Senator Bartekwa praised the practicing Liberian journalist during a public meeting held in Grand Kru County recently, noting that the journalist has been relentless in reporting challenges facing the people of Grand Kru County.

    Journalist Emmanuel Koffa is a Correspondent for the Liberia Global News Network, Bana FM, and Liberia Broadcasting System. He also contributes to the Rural Reporters News Network. As a prominent figure in Grand Kru County, Journalist Koffa is known for his fearless reporting on the socio-economic issues affecting Grand Kru County.

    During the meeting, Senator Bartekwa highlighted Koffa’s work as crucial in shedding light on various ills, including inadequate infrastructure, healthcare challenges, and the need for better educational resources.

    “Emmanuel Koffa is not just a journalist; he is the voice of the voiceless. His commitment to reporting the truth and advocating for change is commendable,” Senator Bartekwa stated. “In these times when many are deterred by fear and intimidation, Koffa stands tall, pushing for progress and accountability.”

    The Grand Kru County lawmaker emphasized the importance of local journalists in fostering democracy and ensuring that the concerns of citizens are heard. He urged Koffa and his fellow journalists to remain steadfast in their mission, undeterred by intimidation or censorship.

    “Intimidation is a tactic to silence those who dare to speak out. I urge Emmanuel and all journalists to continue their noble work without fear. The people of Grand Kru deserve to have their stories told, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that happens,” Bartekwa affirmed.

    Local leaders and community members at the meeting echoed Senator Bartekwa’s sentiments, expressing their gratitude for Koffa’s efforts.

    They acknowledged the challenges that journalists face in the County but reiterated the necessity of having courageous reporters like the LBS Correspondent who can stand up against injustice and advocate for the needs of the people.

    In response to the senator’s praises, Journalist Emmanuel Koffa expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to reporting on the issues affecting Grand Kru County. “As journalists, we have a responsibility to our communities. We must continue to investigate, report, and demand accountability from our leaders,” Koffa said. “I am truly honored to receive this recognition and will not allow intimidation to deter me from my mission.”

    Meanwhile, the meeting which includes other Journalists concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to support local journalism and ensure that reporters can operate in a safe environment, thereby contributing to a more informed and empowered citizenry.

    Senator Bartekwa’s support for Koffa highlights the vital role that journalism plays in championing the rights and interests of the people, particularly in regions that are often overlooked in the national discourse.
