Maryland County | January 30, 2026 | The Kun Care Foundation has extended the distribution of safety jackets to more than 300 tricycle and motorcycle riders in Harper and Pleebo, Maryland County.

The activity is part of the foundation’s effort to promote road safety and protect riders.

The distribution exercise was carried out in Harper, the capital of Maryland County, and Pleebo, one of the county’s most populated commercial cities.

Riders received reflective safety jackets to help reduce accidents and improve visibility on the roads.

According to the Maryland County Coordinator of the foundation, Isaiah K. Nyenpan, the program is aimed at saving lives and encouraging riders to follow basic road safety rules.

He noted that similar safety jacket distributions were successfully carried out in River Gee County in late December 2025.

In a related development, the Chief Executive Officer of Kun Care Foundation, Cllr. Kunkunyon Wleh Teh, has announced plans to distribute over 200 motorcycles to young people in River Gee County.

He said the initiative is intended to create jobs and support youth employment in the county.

Cllr. Teh explained that documentation and data collection for beneficiaries are currently in progress and will soon be completed to allow the motorcycles to be distributed.

The Kun Care Foundation continues to support community safety and youth empowerment across different counties in Liberia.
