Fish-Town, River Gee County- Saturday, June 7, 2025 – KunCare Foundation, a humanitarian organization has provided fifty new desks to the Fish Town Demonstration School River Gee County.  It came amidst report of students of the institution sitting on the bear floor to learn.

The donation will significantly enhance the learning condition of students of the school.

Headed by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Cllr. Kun Teh, the desks will address concerns raised by various local media institutions regarding the inadequate learning environment at the public institution. Local journalists in the area who visited the school months ago reported the unconducive learning conditions of the institution prompting widespread calls for assistance.

At a brief handover ceremony recently, Cllr. Teh said there is a critical need to invest in the education and development of young people of River Gee County.

“It is essential to support our youths,” he said. Cllr. Teh used the opportunity and encouraged others to contribute to improving the county’s educational system.

Before the donation of the desks by KunCare Foundation.

In response to the donation, the principal of the school, Theresa S. Chea expressed her sincere gratitude for Cllr. Teh’s ongoing commitment to supporting the school.

She recounted that Cllr. Teh provided six bundles of zinc to help repair the school’s roof after it was damaged by a fierce storm earlier this year. “Though he is simply a citizen of River Gee, his contributions speak volumes,” Madam Chea pointed out.

Local officials and community leaders lauded the donation, describing it as a significant step toward enhancing education within the county.
