River Gee County – Friday, May 30, 2025] – In a significant gesture poised to uplift the agricultural landscape of River Gee County, the Chief Executive Officer of the KunCare Foundation, Cllr. Kun Teh, has officially announced plans to supply an extensive number of cocoa seedlings to local farmers throughout the coming year.

The initiative, designed to nourish the ambitions of local producers, aims to empower approximately 100 farmers with the requisite tools to boost agricultural productivity and solidify their livelihoods within the region.

Cocoa, a vital cash crop, has the potential to provide sustainable income and invigorate local economies. In light of this, the KunCare Foundation’s commitment is not merely a fleeting act of charity but part of a broader strategy to foster long-term agricultural resilience within the community. With this latest initiative, Cllr. Kun Teh expressed his aspirations to build upon the fruitful efforts of the previous year when 50 farmers benefited from a similar program that provided them with cocoa seedlings.

These initial efforts allowed them to cultivate their own cocoa farms, leading to enhanced economic independence and the establishment of viable income streams.

Cllr. Kun Teh highlighted that his foremost objective with this donation is to support farmers who face financial constraints, thereby denying them access to quality cocoa seedlings. He stated, “Many farmers have the will and the land, but lack the means to grow cocoa. By supplying these seedlings, we are not only helping them to farm, but we are also instilling a sense of hope and encouraging a future where they can provide for their families.”

The impact of the KunCare Foundation’s initiatives extends beyond mere agricultural production. It fosters a sense of community cohesion and resilience, bridging gaps that have historically hindered economic growth in the region.

Residents have lauded Cllr. Kun Teh for his unwavering dedication to local farmers, noting his role as a beacon of hope for those striving for self-sufficiency through agriculture.

The continuous support he offers local farmers is perceived not just as a financial boost but as a vital contributor to the overall development of River Gee County.

Local farmer associations are particularly enthusiastic about this upcoming support. Many stakeholders in the agricultural sector see the distribution of cocoa seedlings as an essential step towards achieving food security and enhancing agricultural diversity.

The initiative is expected to result in increased employment opportunities as farmers expand their cocoa production and explore potential markets.

Moreover, the region’s agricultural prospects have been bolstered by workshops and training sessions organized by the KunCare Foundation. These educational initiatives equip farmers with the knowledge required to maintain their cocoa farms and maximize yield productivity, ensuring that the benefits of the seedlings are fully realized.

As the foundation prepares for the implementation of this initiative, Cllr. Kun Teh reaffirmed his resolve to work closely with local authorities, agricultural experts, and the farmers themselves to monitor the program’s progress and address any arising challenges. “Partnerships are crucial in this endeavor; we need to walk this path together if we are to see real change and improvement in the livelihoods of our farmers,” he remarked.

The news of this significant donation has already started to ignite hope within the community. Anticipation is building as the farmers of River Gee County prepare to embark on this new chapter, one that promises to enrich their agricultural knowledge, financial standing, and, at the very essence, their quality of life.

As the May sun shines over River Gee County, the horizon looks promising, with Cllr. Kun Teh and the KunCare Foundation leading the way towards a sustainable and prosperous future for its farming community.
