River Gee County | February 21, 2026 | The KunKun Cares Foundation – KCF, has strengthened its humanitarian outreach in River Gee County with the donation of vital water pump materials to the Muslim Community in Gbeapo, Kanweaken.
The presentation ceremony took place earlier this week at the Muslim Central Mosque in the bustling commercial city of Kanweaken, bringing together community leaders, residents, and members of the Muslim congregation in appreciation of the timely.
The donation fulfills a commitment made by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Kunkunyon Wleh Teh, during his Christmas visit to River Gee County in 2025.
At the time, he pledged to support initiatives that would address pressing community needs, particularly access to safe drinking water.
Representing the Foundation at the ceremony, KCF’s focal person, Maxlord Henson, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to community empowerment and sustainable development across River Gee County.
He emphasized that access to clean and reliable water remains a serious challenge for many communities in the county.
“This donation is part of our broader mission to respond to critical needs in our communities,” Henson stated. “Clean water is not a luxury — it is a necessity.”
The items presented to the Muslim Community include; 15 lengths of 1-inch PVC pipes, 1 length of ½-inch PVC pipe, a 1.5-horsepower, submersible pump set, Two 500-gallon poly tanks and one bundle of three-in-one electrical current wire
According to the Foundation representative, the materials are expected to improve the community’s water supply system, ensuring more consistent and safe access to water for residents in and around Kanweaken.
Receiving the materials on behalf of the Muslim Community, Alhaji B.K. Kromah expressed profound gratitude to the KunKun Cares Foundation for what he described as a “timely and impactful” intervention.
He noted that the improved water system would not only benefit members of the Muslim Community but also serve the wider Kanweaken population, reinforcing unity and shared development within the area.
Kromah further commended Cllr. Teh for maintaining a strong and positive relationship with the people of River Gee County, particularly within the Muslim Community.
He described the Foundation’s gesture as clear evidence of its sustained commitment to social responsibility and grassroots development.
The donation marks another step in the KunKun-Care Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote health, dignity, and sustainable living conditions in underserved communities.
As access to clean water continues to be a critical issue in parts of River Gee County, initiatives like this are expected to have long-term benefits for public health and community well-being.
