Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh county –Sunday, August 17,2025-An officer of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Zwedru City apprehended suspect James Dweh, a 25-year-old Liberian national, at the Gbargbo Town Checkpoint.
The suspect was found in possession of thirty (30) wraps of substances believed to be Kush, with an estimated street value of USD $120 or LD$24,000.00.
Following a preliminary investigation, James Dweh has been formally charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance. He has been forwarded to the Zwedru Magisterial Court, while he awaits trial.
The LDEA remains steadfast in its commitment to combating the illegal drug trade and urges the public to assist in these efforts.
Meanwhile, the LDEA is calling on citizens to always report any drug-related activities in their communities.
