    Liberian Teacher Wins Continental Teachers’ Award!

    Monrovia, Liberia~ Tuesday, October 7, 2025~A Liberian teacher, Allen A. Thomas has been continentally recognized and won the African Union Continental Teachers’ Award for 2025.

    According to a Ministry of Education release, the Liberian teacher gained this admirable feat owing his extraordinary work in transforming science education through his “Best Teacher Initiative,” he championed as enumerated below:

    •Promoting hands-on science using locally sourced, everyday materials.

    •Empowering rural educators with practical skills in creativity and innovation.

    •Advancing digital literacy to prepare both teachers and students for the future.

    The Ministry expressed being overjoyed that one its own; teacher Allen Thomas could gain such prestigious feat and recognition.

    “Mr. Thomas’s achievement on the continental stage is a powerful reminder that Liberian ingenuity and dedication can lead the way. It proves that amidst any challenge, our classrooms remain vibrant hubs of brilliance, leadership, and hope,” the Ministry of Education release added.

    “To every Liberian teacher, in every town and village: Your tireless work is the foundation of our nation’s future. You are nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers and leaders. We see you, we celebrate you, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting you”

    In conclusion, the Ministry called on all well-meaning citizens to join her in congratulating Mr. Allen A. Thomas for making the Liberian nation incredibly proud.
