NYANKUNPO TOWN – The corpses of two victims of drowning, a 19-year-old pregnant woman, Precious Kantan, and 16-year-old Joanna Targbe, have been discovered in Grand Kru County, a reporter of Rural Reporters News Network (RRNN) in the area reported.
Recently, RRNN reported that two persons narrowly escaped death, while two others were presumed dead while making a voyage across Grand Kru County’s Dorbor River.
The incident occurred Sunday, 27 October 2024, when the four individuals, a 19-year-old pregnant lady, Precious Kantan, and a 16-year-old, Joanna Targbe, both who were at the time presumed to have drowned, along with two others (names undisclosed) crossing the deadly Dorbor River from Putu Town to Nyankunpo Town, Grand Kru County.
However, following four days of going missing, the lifeless bodies of the ladies on 31 October, were discovered decaying downstream, Dorbor River, approximately five hours walk away from Nyankunpo Town, where they resided prior to their demise.
The corpses of the 19-year-old pregnant woman, Precious Kantan, and 16-year-old Joanna Targbe, have been interred.
