Monrovia, Liberia-Sunday, October 5, 2025-A contingent of Liberia National Police (LNP) officers has departed for Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in a specialized training program. The officers were bid farewell with best wishes for a safe journey and a successful training experience.

In a Facebook post Saturday, the training according to Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman marks a significant milestone in the LNP’s efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of its personnel.

IG Coleman said by participating in international training programs, the officers will gain valuable insights and expertise that will enable them to better serve the people of Liberia.

He reaffirmed the LNP commitment to continuous capacity building and development, recognizing the importance of investing in its human resources.

“This training is part of a broader strategy to equip officers with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle emerging security challenges and promote peace and stability in Liberia,” Police IG Coleman emphasized.

As the officers represent Liberia in Rwanda, they have been urged to conduct themselves with honor and discipline, upholding the values and principles of the Liberia National Police.

The LNP is confident that the officers will make a positive impression and bring pride to the country upon their return.

This training is expected to strengthen the LNP’s capabilities and enhance its ability to provide effective security services to the people of Liberia.

The LNP looks forward to the successful return of its officers and the implementation of the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.
