River Gee County – [October 1, 2025] – As momentum builds for the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet, River Gee County has launched its Administrative District League, bringing together local players and sports enthusiasts from across the county with the aim to identify local talents.

The kickoff of the local league marks the beginning of an exciting sporting season designed to identify, nurture, and motivate young players who will eventually represent River Gee at the national county sports meet.

The ten administrative districts of River Gee are participating in the league. They include, Chedepo, Gbeapo, Glaro, Karforh, and Nanee. Other are; Nyenawliken, Nyenebo, Potupo, Sarbo, and Tuobo respectively.

Kicked-off last weekend, the league aims not only to promote unity among these districts but to also serve as a critical platform to scout young talents.

Local sports leaders believe the tournament will sharpen players’ skills while boosting morale across the county ahead of the national competition.

County Superintendent Mike Swengbe stressed the significance of the district league as a feeder for the National County Sports Meet.

“River Gee has a strong history of producing exceptional athletes,” Swengbe said. “This year’s preparatory games are opportunity to enhance our chances of making a powerful impact at the national level”.

This is more than just football, it’s about teamwork, discipline, and showcasing River Gee’s sporting potential. Through these games, we are building the foundation for our county future champions”. Says River Gee County superintendent Swengbeh.

Match days have drawn large and enthusiastic crowds in Fish-Town, creating a vibrant and high-energy atmosphere.
