Voinjama City, a citizen of Lofa County-Lofa County based in the United States have donated assorted medical equipment to the Lofa County health team.
The donation comes month after Lofa County Health Officer, Dr. Moses Ujoe Weidhgar pleaded with officials of the Federation of Lofians in the Americas to support the county health system during the organizations’ 2025 Convention in the United States in which Dr. Weidhgar served as a Special Guest.
In a special remark at the convention, Dr. Moses Ujoe Weidhgar outlined several challenges facing the county health system and requested for urgent support from the Federation. He appealed to the Federation to support the county health with essential medical equipment.

Few weeks after the convention, a daughter of Wonsanga town in Foya Statutory District who preferred anonymity visited Liberia and made a donation of assorted medical supplies on November 1, 2025 in the city of Voinjama.
Essential medical equipment donated include, surgical instruments, 13 delivery sets, 14 pieces of placenta pans, 1 wheel chair, 1 walker, 10 pieces of speculum, 5 packs of tongue depressor, etc.
In response to the donation, Lofa County Health Health Officer Dr. Moses Ujoe Weidhgar appreciated the donation and promised that the equipment will be used for the intended purpose.
Dr. Weidehga also promised to continue to lobby for support to improve the health system in Lofa County.
