    Lofa County,Voinjama City-December 23, 2024- Senator Momoh Tarnuekollie Cyrus on Monday December 23, 2024 provided a surprise Christmas package for all City mayors and some local leaders in Lofa County ahead of the 25th December Christmas Celebration.

    Senator Cyrus’ Chief of Office Staff, Arthur Kowah presented the package to City Mayors in Lofa County and other local officials.

    CoS Arthur Kowah said, this told the chiefs in attendance that this was Senator Cyrus own way of identifying with his people during this festive season and he promised that his boss will continue this each year to make they the citizens happy annually,especially during each festive season.

    Senator Cyrus then, through CoS Kowah presented to the various city corporations of Voinjama,Zorzor,and Kolahun respectively, received one thousand United States Dollars apiece. Additionally, granted to the Commissioners of the 5 remaining districts (Foya,Quardu,Salayea,Vahun,Wanhassa and Lukambeh),Five Hundred United States Dollars  ($500.00)each.

    During the presentation, Arthur Kowah on behalf of the Senator Cyrus urged the local leaders from the various districts who received the money to use same wisely and make subsequent report to the Senator’s office.

    Arthur also encouraged citizens from the county’s 7 districts to feel free in interacting with the Senator as well as his office both at Capitol Hill and in the county;aading that that Senator Cyrus and his staff are at their disposal and were looking forward constructive engagement with them relative to suggestions and recommendations.

    ” Our Doors are open for suggestions and recommendations at anytime in the County and in Monrovia for the betterment of our County,” CoS Arthur Kowah added.

    In separate remarks , the Mayors and Commissioners appreciated Senator Momoh Cyrus for the kind gesture ;for the first time a Senator has thought about them in such positive manner ,particularly during festive the season.”My name is Commissioner Ben Gbolumah from Salayea district, I want to be very thankful to Senator Cyrus for such a good work , this is the first time for a sitting Senator to reach out at the district level.

    “We only hear about county level, but the Senator has chosen to reach out at the district level in providing Christmas package. We think this is remarkable and we deeply appreciate him so kindly,” Salayea district commissioner Ben Gbolumah remarked in an interview with reporters shortly after the presentation.

    Meanwhile, Senator Cyrus has reiterated that he is committed to living up to his

    campaign promises. “I was not joking and I meant everything I uttered during and my

    word is my bond.”
