A court in Lofa County has sentenced Emmanuel W. Flomo and Aaron S. Kollie for life, for the murder of Moyongor Keleko, whose lifeless body was on 31 December 2024 discovered on a remote farm road in Duagomai Town, Voinjama District, Lofa County.
Delivering final judgment in Keleko’s murder case Wednesday, Resident Circuit Judge, Nancy Finda Sammy of the 10th Judicial Circuit Court, besides her life time sentence for murder brought down against the pair, also adjudged both men guilty for committing criminal conspiracy and felonious restraint, which warrant the men serving four years and six months prison term, under Liberian laws.
Liberia’s Criminal Procedure Law, Section 10.1.4, as well as the country’s Penal Law Sections 10.5 and 51.3 uphold Judge Sammy’s sentencing of Flomo and Kollie.
On 20 June 2025, jurors at the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Voinjama City, delivered their final verdict in the murder case, with defendants Aaron S. Kollie, Emmanuel Flomo, and Lamine Flomo being held guilty for multiple crimes including felonious restraint, criminal conspiracy, and murder.
During the jury’s deliberation, Aaron S. Kollie and Emmanuel Flomo were found guilty for criminal conspiracy, felonious restraint, and murder, while Lamine Flomo was acquitted of murder, but was found guilty of committing felonious restraint and criminal conspiracy.
Judge Sammy officially recorded the jurors’ verdicts, marking a significant moment in the pursuit of justice for Keleko.
Meanwhile, co-defendant Lamine Flomo was sentenced to four years and six months for committing felonious restraint and criminal conspiracy, according to Judge Sammy’s ruling.
Following the sentencing of the three men, their defense attorney took exception to the ruling and filed a motion to seek redress for retrial at the Supreme Court of Liberia.
Judge Sammy granted the defense attorney’s motion, setting the pace for retrial at the Supreme Court at a date yet to be announced.
