Margibi, Liberia-October 6, 2025-The Taxpayer Service Division (TPSD) of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has successfully concluded a three-day strategic retreat at the Farmington Hotel.

The retreat, themed “Igniting Excellence in Taxpayer Service,” brought together staff from various LRA departments to strengthen collaboration and outline priority areas for the Division’s 2026 Work Plan.

The retreat focused on developing strategies to enhance taxpayer education, improve compliance, and modernize customs procedures. Key areas of discussion included innovative taxpayer education tools, strategies to enhance filing and payment processes, modernization of customs procedures and delivery of improved taxpayer services.

LRA’s Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah at the TSD Division retreat.

The retreat provided an opportunity for internal stakeholders to share insights, identify cross-department collaboration opportunities, and address operational challenges.

The consolidated strategies developed during the retreat are expected to be implemented in the upcoming fiscal year, as the LRA continues its drive to enhance efficiency and service excellence.

The LRA’s Taxpayer Service Division is set to play a key role in the planned rollout of Value Added Tax (VAT) in 2027. The Division’s efforts will focus on providing excellent service delivery and enhancing taxpayer engagement.
