Monrovia, Liberia –Sunday, August 31, 2025-The Chairperson of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), Clarence K. Massaquoi, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 met with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Representative, Aliou Mamadou Dia, and Deputy Country Director, Louis Kuukpen, at the UNDP Headquarters in Monrovia.
The meeting aimed to explore ways to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions in advancing Liberia’s digital inclusion agenda.
Chairperson Massaquoi emphasized the importance of digital inclusion in Liberia’s development, highlighting the Authority’s role in regulating telecommunications and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Chairman Massaquoi stressed the need for stronger regulations to promote better connectivity, improved ICT infrastructure governance, and wider digital access.
For their part, the UNDP representatives welcomed the collaboration and praised the LTA’s proactive approach, reaffirming UNDP’s commitment to driving innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth in Liberia’s digital sector.
The meeting laid the groundwork for future collaboration between the LTA and UNDP, with both parties exploring ways to leverage each other’s strengths to promote digital development in Liberia.
The partnership is expected to contribute to the country’s economic growth, social development, and improved living standards.
