    Lofa County, Voinjama City-November 20, 2024-The Mano River Youth Parliament, Lofa chapter, has concluded an hour-long discussion session with youth in Lofa County, focusing on “Decentralizing Peace-Building, Civil Engagement, and Advocacy Efforts in Liberia.”

    The session took place at the Williams V. S. Tubman Hall in Voinjama City and attracted over 20 youth from various institutions.

    In his overview of the event, the chairman of the Mano River Youth Parliament Lofa chapter, Mr. Peter B. Harris, emphasized that the initiative aims to combat the spread of misinformation through social media.

    Participants take group photo at the end of the Hour-longSession.

    The event featured knowledgeable facilitators discussing key topics, including social media and messaging platforms for advocacy, cybersecurity and data protection, digital literacy, and the intersection of human rights and technology.

    At the conclusion of the event, several participants expressed their gratitude to the Mano River Youth Parliament Lofa chapter for the educational discussion and pledged to become ambassadors for the messages shared.
