Monrovia, Monday, September 8, 2025  – Mary’s Meals, a global school feeding charity, has announced that it is now serving nutritious meals to 3 million children every school day in their educational settings. This achievement, according to the institution highlights the power of collective action, compassion, and commitment to ending child hunger and promoting education.

Mary’s Meals provides life-changing meals in schools across some of the world’s poorest communities, ensuring children are nourished and motivated to learn. By serving daily meals, the organization breaks down barriers to education and offers hope for a brighter future.

    Mary’s Meals milestone achievement.

As the organization marks this milestone, it renews its call for global support for its school feeding programs targeting children in high-need and hard-to-reach areas. With over 181 million children under five facing severe food poverty worldwide, consistent school feeding programs are crucial.

In Liberia, Mary’s Meals serves over 90,000 pre- and primary students in more than 600 schools across five counties. The country’s contribution to this global milestone is a testament to the dedication of community volunteers, staff, and supporters.

“We invite every person of good will to join the Mary’s Meals movement… Whilst it’s amazing that we’ve grown to reach 3 million children, tens of millions remain hungry and out of school.” A release quotes the institution CEO Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow.

Reaching 3 million children worldwide is a profound moment by Mary’s Meals, calling on local communities to increase their support to the school feeding program.

Mary’s Meals is a global movement providing daily school meals to children in poor communities, attracting them to the classroom and offering a ladder out of poverty. The charity operates in over 16 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
