Zorzor City, Lofa County-Sunday, November 9, 2025-In an effort to modernize rural radio station, a son of Zorlayea, is calling on citizens of Zorzor and Salayea Districts otherwise known as Zorlayea to rally between and among themselves  and support Radio Life based in Zorzor city,  Lofa County.

Radio Life is the mother radio station in Zorlayea District, that is serving over 30,000 residents in Lofa, Nimba, Gbarpolu, Bong and neighboring certain part of Guinea; especially the Forest Region.

Speaking to journalists in Zorzor on November 6, 2025, Hon. Jackson F. Wolobah recounted that since its establishment, Radio Life has served as a major bridge for citizens as far as public dissemination of information including announcement is concerned. He added that when it comes to broadcasting of vital development- related news within and beyond the County.

Hon. Jackson F. Wolobah, Assistant Minister of Labor for Statistics and Research.

He stated that if citizens of Zorlayea won’t point at any development next year, they should be able to modernize and showcase the first and oldest radio station in Zorzor; which is significantly serving the people of Zorlayea District.

The Zorzor native stated that citizens of the region are to rally around Radio Life in order to have its own modern broadcasting studio having been the oldest and served the community cum county with utmost commitment and distinction.

Zorlayea Communication Services Incorporated which operates Radio Life 92.5MHz in Zorzor, seems to be challenged, when it comes to infrastructure and other studio equipment for the smooth operation.

Min. Wolobah told journalists in the District that the station played a major role during the 2023 elections by preaching peaceful messages to avoid citizens from attacking one another in the County and the country at large.

Jackson F.  Wolobah  currently served as Assistant Minister for Research and Statistics at the Ministry of Labor,  called on public officials hailing from the District and County to contribute to the growth and development of  Radio Life that continues to serve citizens in that part of the Country.

Meanwhile, Rural Reporters News Network has been reliably informed that many radio stations in both Lofa and Bong Counties are challenged when it comes to running the day to day affairs due to the lack of necessary equipment for the smooth operations;  especially nonpolitically-related stations.

The Zorlayea native narrated that, his dream is to see the mother radio station in Zorlayea District progressing from one stage to another.

“During the last elections, Radio Life plays a major role at which time citizens had vested interest in her programming as leading station,” Min. Wolobah mentioned.

He however lauded the management of Radio Life for their professional reportage and thereby urged sons and daughters of Zorlayea to support the institution in order to have its own erected building.

The Assistant Labour boss however assured the station management of his unwavering support for the betterment of the oldest and mother institution which is currently challenged due to resources constraints.

“I want to call on officials of this current government hailing from Zorlayea District to support the institution,  so Radio Life can have its own broadcasting studio comes 2026, it’s my dream and prayer for now, ” Hon. Jackson F. Wolobah told reporters.
