    Ministry of Health and its Partners Commemorate World Contraceptive Day in Zwedru City

    Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County-Saturday, September 27, 2025-The Ministry of Health in partnership with BRAC Liberia and UNFPA, on Friday, Sept 26, 2025 commemorated world contraceptive day in Zwedru under the theme: “A Choice for all, Freedom to Plan, Power to Choose”.

    The event brought together students, motorcyclists, health practitioners, and media professionals among others.

    World Contraceptive Day is commemorated annually on September 26, and is meant to acknowledge people around the world on the importance of family planning and Condoms to maintain brighter future for they and their children.

    Motorcyclists also form part of the celebration and were involved sensitization plus sharing packs of Condoms.

    Dr. Princess Blamo served as the orator during the event and used the platform to encourage citizens to make use of the Youth Friendly Center at the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital; where family planning is administer in order to understand both positive and negative implications of effective planning and the usage of condoms.

    During the event the organizer along with cyclists and the students distributed over two hundred (200) packs of condoms to citizens.

    Making remarks at the occasion, participants called on the Ministry of Health to continue such exercise so the awareness can reach various towns and villages nationwide.
