SINOE – Jackson Tweh Gba alias Peakie, a famous fisherman in Sinoe County, has been presumed dead after going missing at sea over two weeks now, family sources have told Rural Reporters News Network (RRNN).

Peakie reportedly went missing at sea on 17 October 2024, when he left early that fateful day on a fishing expedition in Grand Kru County’s Seebeh Community, where he resided prior to going missing.

Some of the missing fisherman’s customers, who are fishmongers, were the first to raise an alarm that Peakie had gone missing after they did not see him return following his departure on a fishing expedition that day.

A search and rescue mission ordered by Sectional Chief William Wleh Nimely, with an engine-canoe including all fishermen in the area being dispatched on the search party, has so far not yielded any fruit, although the missing fisherman’s canoe has been discovered, but neither with any trace of his living body nor his corpse.
