Barclayville City, Grand Kru County | January 24, 2026| Efforts to improve security across Grand Kru County have received a major boost following the delivery of three additional police motorbikes to the Grand Kru County Police Detachment.
Detachment Commander Clement Barllat said the newly assigned motorbikes, together with a recently provided patrol vehicle, will greatly improve police presence and response time across the county.
He emphasized that limited mobility has long affected effective policing, particularly in remote communities.
Commander Barllat applauded the Government of Liberia and the leadership of the Liberia National Police (LNP) for prioritizing mobility as a key component of crime prevention.
According to him, the motorbikes will enable officers to better patrol interior areas, respond swiftly to emergencies, and enhance public safety.
On behalf of the detachment, Commander Barllat extended appreciation to Inspector General of Police, Dr. Gregory O. W. Coleman, for his consistent support and advocacy.
He also recognized the County Superintendent for engaging the LNP Authority to ensure Grand Kru County is not left behind in national security interventions.
The three motorbikes were officially received on January 22, 2025, through the LNP administration and operational management.
The detachment described the gesture as timely and critical to strengthening law enforcement operations throughout Grand Kru County.
