Monrovia, Thursday, October 23, 2025- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, October 21, played host to a high-level business delegation from the region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab in southern Morocco.
The delegation’s visit to Liberia according to Foreign Ministry is a testament to the growing diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties between the two countries.
The visit was arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the new Economic Diplomacy agenda of Her Excellency Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The agenda aims to leverage Liberia’s diplomatic missions and engagements to attract more investments to the country.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim Nyei, received the delegation and expressed his delight in the growing relationship between Liberia and Morocco.
The Moroccan delegation, led by Honorable Yanja El Khattat, President of the Region of Dakhla, expressed hopes that Liberia and Morocco will continue to cooperate on issues of mutual interest.
The region of Dakhla is a dynamic and business-friendly region, and businesses in the region are looking forward to expanding and partnering with businesses in Liberia.
The delegation, which comprises private business leaders, officials of the African Chamber of Commerce in Morocco, and the Chamber of Commerce of Dakhla, and regional officials, will be in the country until October 24, 2025.

During their stay, they are expected to have meetings with state-owned enterprises and private businesses, as well as the Liberia Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation’s visit is focused on exploring investment and trade opportunities in strategic sectors, including mining, oil and gas, agriculture, fisheries, electricity, and telecommunications. The potential for cooperation between Liberia and Morocco in these areas is vast, and both countries are eager to tap into each other’s strengths.
The visit of the Moroccan delegation is a significant step towards deepening the relationship between Liberia and Morocco. With a shared commitment to advancing trade, investment, and security, the two countries can look forward to a bright future of cooperation and mutual prosperity.
