    New Junior High School Constructed in Weteken Community to Enhance Grand Kru County Education System…

    Weteken, Grand Kru County–Thursday, April 17, 2025- Grand Kru County Senator, Albert Tugbe Chie has dedicated a modern Junior High School building valued at over $85,000 to the people of Weteken, in an effort to support educational infrastructure.

    According to the Grand Kru County lawmaker, the initiative is to buttress the government of Liberia efforts to enhancing educational access and quality across the country.

    The opening ceremony was attended by local government officials, community leaders, educators, and residents, all gathered to celebrate this significant milestone for Weteken and its surroundings.

    The official dedication ceremony was led by Grand Kru Senator Albert Tugbe Chie, who emphasized the critical role such facilities play in fostering a conducive learning environment for students, celebrating the achievement that they believe will inspire a new generation of learners.

    Speaking at the event held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Senator Chie urged the citizens, particularly the students of Weteken and its surrounding areas, to fully leverage the new educational resources.

    “My office through the government of Liberia is dedicated to providing better educational opportunities for our children,” Senator Chie stated. “This new structure is not just a building; it is a symbol of hope and a commitment to the future of our youth. I urge you all, especially the students, to take advantage of this opportunity, to learn, grow, and aspire for greatness.”

    As part of the ceremony, Senator Chie reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for improved educational policies and infrastructure in Grand Kru County and the broader region.

     He highlighted the importance of education in empowering individuals and contributing to the socio-economic development of Liberia.

    Also speaking, Grand Kru County, Education Officer Josiah Sloh Nagbe praised Senator Albert Tugbe Chie for his unwavering commitment to improving the Grand Kru education system.

    During his speech, the Grand Kru County Education Officer highlighted the significance of the new school, which is set to accommodate an increasing number of students in Weteken. “This facility is not just a building; it is a symbol of hope and a testament to what can be achieved when we invest in our children’s future,” he declared.

    Local residents have expressed gratitude for the new school, viewing it as a major step toward improving educational outcomes in Grand Kru.

    The newly built Junior High School is equipped with modern classrooms, administrative offices, and facilities that adhere to contemporary educational standards.

    This development is expected to alleviate the challenges faced by students who previously had limited access to quality educational infrastructure within the community.
