    One Dead in Suspected Suicide Incident in Maryland County…

    Manolu Big Town, Maryland County-Wednesday, June 4,2025- Residents of Manolu Big Town in Karluway District, Maryland County, were struck with shock and sorrow following the discovery of a 64-year-old man, identified as Daniel D. Charlie, hanging from a tree behind his residence.

    According to eyewitnesses, the lifeless body of Mr. Charlie was discovered on Saturday, June 1, by locals who were passing behind his house for unrelated reasons. The incident has left the community in a state of panic.

    Family members described Mr. Charlie as a healthy and peaceful elderly man who regularly sat outside his home. His unexpected death has raised serious doubt and suspicions relative his death, with many in the community calling for a thorough investigation.

    Authorities of the Liberia National Police, Maryland County Detachment have since launched an investigation to ascertain the cause and circumstances surrounding Mr. Charlie’s death. His remains have been turned over to family and community members for burial.

    Meanwhile, concerned residents of Manolu are urging state security agencies to fast-track the investigation and provide clarity, as the unexplained death has left many unsettled.
