Sinje Town, Western Liberia |April 15, 2026| Orange Digital Centers have trained over 83,000 young people across Africa and the Middle East, as part of a major Digital Skills and Employment Initiative.
The program, implemented between 2020 and 2023 with a €10 million budget, focused on improving youth employability and reducing unemployment.
These disclosures were made during a five-day training session that started on April 6, 2026, in Casablanca, Morocco.
According to project data, 41% of beneficiaries were women, while over 8,000 participants’ secured jobs or internships. The initiative covered 14 countries, including Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Côte d’Ivoire; highlighting Orange’s commitment to equipping young people with digital skills.
”Orange’s efforts reflect a long-term commitment to youth empowerment and digital transformation,” says Orange officials.
Additionally, building on this success, Orange has launched new initiatives, including a €900,000 “Master Repair Project” to train young people in technical repair fields, and a $3.2 million digital skills project in Guinea-Bissau to boost youth entrepreneurship.
With over 1.4 million beneficiaries across 17 countries, Orange Digital Centers continue to drive digital talent and entrepreneurship, supporting over 450 startups and financing 24 through Orange Ventures.
