    Three Persons Arrested for Robbery in Grand Kru

    Barclayville City, Grand Kru County- May 8, 2025-Police have arrested and charged three persons for robbing a businessman, Kadafee David. The arrest was made on May 5, 2025 at Behwen Checkpoint while escaping from the county following a tipoff. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 4, 2025 between Buah Geeken and Bolloh-Poe highway.

    Suspects Abraham Tweh, 24, Johnny Brown, 35 and Eric Toe, 39, were arrested with two single barrel guns. They told the police that one of the suspects, Eric Toe had hinted that the victim, Kadafee David was traveling with huge sum of money. According to them, Eric gave them two single barrel guns and a motorcycle to rob the businessman on the highway. The suspects are currently in police custody while another suspect, only identified as Bobby is on the run.

    The suspect have been charged for armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft of property and being in possession of firearms. Police charged sheet quotes Victim Kadafee David as saying he was leaving from Buah Geeken to Bolloh-Poe on a motorcycle along with his rider, where he was armed robbed by three men wearing face masks and they took away his bag containing 10 million Liberian Dollars, $5,000USD and 100 grams of gold value over ten thousand United States dollars.

    Based upon the incident, the police launched an investigation and found out the motorbike used for the mission was linked to one Eric Toe, 39 years.

    Following preliminary investigation, suspect Eric Toe who is said to be a miner admitted to crime, saying he was the one that set up the victim and even gave single barrel pistol guns to suspect Bobby who is yet to be arrested.  

    The suspects told police that each person got one million one hundred and eighty four thousand Liberian dollars, while Bobby allegedly took away the rest of the money  along with the gold . 

    Police in the area said the money including valuable materials were retrieved and turned over to the victim in the presence of the Business Chairman, concerns citizens and community members. continues.
