River Gee County – Monday, May 19, 2025] – In its ongoing battle against drug trafficking and consumption, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has again apprehended 22-year-old Marthaline Doe, a Liberian resident, at the Webbo-Konowroken Checkpoint in River Gee County.

The arrest occurred over the weekend when Doe, who hails from Maryland County, was caught with 470 wraps of compressed marijuana, seven strips of Tramadol, and various other marijuana products. The total street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be around LD$ 70,500, or roughly USD$ 356.00.

Currently, Doe is in custody at the LDEA’s Fish Town headquarters where she is being investigated. Initial findings indicate her previous involvement in similar offenses, as she has been arrested multiple times in Maryland County for drug-related activities.

Doe’s detention highlights the ongoing struggles faced in the effort to combat drug trafficking across different regions of the country.

LDEA River Gee County Commander Richard N. Nango emphasized the agency’s determination to eliminate drug trafficking, asserting that they are resolute in ensuring that repeat offenders like Doe are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Authorities remain committed to safeguarding communities and maintaining legal order in their relentless fight against narcotics.
