Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County-December 1, 2025- The leadership of the Grand Gedeh Youth Development Association (GGYDA) has announced a significant shift in its operational strategy, threatening to lead its first-ever major protest.
The target of their action is the return and appointment of E. Wilkins Nah as the County Attorney for Grand Gedeh.
In a recent public statement, the President of the GGYDA indicated that while their leadership has historically maintained a “moderate stance in advocacy,” prioritizing “peace and the interests of Grand Gedeh,” this new issue demands direct action.
“Our first protest will be the return of E. Wilkins Nah to Grand Gedeh as County Attorney, and I can assure you it will be the most talked-about protest,” the Youth President warned.
Demand for Better Legal Representation
The Association’s leadership strongly criticized the legal aptitude of the individual, stating that the county “deserves better.”
“We will not allow those who see themselves as legally minded—but are not—to remain in our county,” the statement declared, signaling a strong opposition to the official’s qualifications or past performance.
Youth President Pledges to Lead
The call to action was directed squarely at the county’s young population, urging them to prepare for the upcoming demonstration.
“Get ready, young people! The Youth President himself will lead the protests!” the message concluded, underscoring the seriousness of the leadership’s commitment to the cause.
The protest, if carried out, would mark a notable escalation in advocacy by the GGYDA.
