Gbarnga City, Bong County-Saturday, October 18, 2025-A son of Bong County has hailed the reconciliation team headed by Dr. Mogana S. Flomo Jr., for the efforts being applied thus far in reconciling citizens of the county since the Reconciliation Committee establishment by the current County leadership.
Bong County, which is located in the Central Region of Liberia, has over the past experience disunity among citizens, during and after election, which many citizens have said, it’s the root cause of the County not developing.
Recently, the County leadership setup a committee to lead reconciliation efforts aimed at bringing unity cum harmony between and amongst all sons and daughters of the county
Speaking to Rural Reporters News Network in Bong County, on October 17, 2025, citizen Daniel Kerkulah Giddings narrated that the reconciliation process in the County, headed by Dr. Mogana S. Flomo is gradually on path, evidenced by recent engagement with Bong County Electoral District #3 Representative J Marvin Cole.
He added that the current engagement centered on resolving a misunderstanding bordering on harsh exchanges-amounting to public insults between Representative Cole and Superintendent, Hon. Loleyah Hawa Norris.
Several citizens in the County believe that with the present committee, back by the County authorities to spare head the reconciliation process, it stands to gain some positive results, and thereby promise to buttress the efforts by holding together as a united people and belonging to One County.
Bong County, which is the origin of the country’s largest speaking tribe; Kpelle, seems to be experiencing lots of misunderstanding between and among citizens; something that is being attributed to the growing political tension way ahead of 2029.
Mr. Giddings however commended the reconciliation head for displaying his leadership role for Bong to gain peace between and among her citizens, which will enable the County to develop.
The Bong County native use the medium to call on all Bong citizens (Bongees) to put their differences aside and foster development within the County; something he said with the present ongoing reconciliation, he sees a unified and development-focused Bong County in the next few years to come.
