Grand Kru County |Feb. 5, 2026|A major agricultural project aimed at boosting food security in Grand Kru County has once again been hit by arson, as unknown individuals reportedly set fire to a farm owned by US-based Liberian Joseph Nimely Toe.

The farm, covering approximately 150 acres between Wedabo and Grand Cess, was established to support local food production and provide economic opportunities for residents of surrounding communities.

According to reports, the latest fire destroyed several crops, including nearly 200 dwarf coconut trees recently imported from Côte d’Ivoire, dealing a significant setback to the project.

This incident marks the third reported fire attack on the farm, raising concerns among community members about the safety of agricultural investments and the future of food security initiatives in the county.

As of press time, the motive remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.
