River Gee County – [July 30, 2025] – The administration of the River Gee Vocational and Technical Training Institute (RGVTTI) has revealed a plan aimed at enhancing vocational education and engaging with the local community.

Jerry K. Bleh, the Executive Director of RGVTTI stated that plan is to establish a modern woodshop and restaurant so as to bolster the institute’s financial support and empower future graduates to sustain their careers.

Bleh said that once established, the woodshop and restaurant will provide a hands-on work environment for students in both the catering and carpentry programs, offering them practical skills and experiences that will advance their professional development.

The Executive Director believes that these job opportunities will not only aid students but also correspond with the rising demand for skilled labor in River Gee County.

He further mentioned that the launch of the woodshop and restaurant would encourage more individuals to pursue Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), thereby gaining valuable real-world experience in culinary arts, hospitality management, and carpentry.

“These facilities will create a distinctive training platform for aspiring chefs and restaurant professionals, enabling them to practice their skills in a real-world context while serving the community,” said Bleh.

In a related development, Jerry K. Bleh has announced the arrival of additional training tools and supplies to enhance practical training across all departments at the institution.

He informed our River Gee Reporter, Ben T.C Brooks that the institution plans to carry out substantial improvements for the forthcoming year, including the addition of two buses for student transportation and the recruitment of more trainers to strengthen the institution’s growth.

Despite these ambitious plans, Bleh has reached out to compassionate individuals, both from River Gee and abroad, to provide support for the enhancement of the institution, in alignment with government initiatives.

The revealing of these information has generated excitement among students and faculty, who anticipate that the new facilities will flourish in the coming year.

As RGVTTI progresses with these developments, the administration is committed to creating an environment that cultivates talent and drives economic growth in River Gee County.

With these new projects, students and community members are looking forward to the positive effects these establishments will have on education and the local economy.
