Greenville City, Sinoe County| January 14, 2026 |The Sinoe County Association in the Americas (SCAA) has made a significant contribution to maternal and child healthcare in Sinoe County by donating fifteen cartons of nutritional supplements.
The donation aims to support pregnant women and their unborn children, particularly in remote communities where access to healthcare resources is limited.
SCAA Representative, Mr. Shadrach Geelar, presented the donation to the Sinoe County Health Team, emphasizing the association’s commitment to improving health outcomes in Sinoe County.
Sinoe County Health Officer, Dr. John Yangobo, praised the SCAA for the donation, stating it will directly benefit expectant mothers and prevent complications during pregnancy.
For her part, Deputy Minister of Health, Madam Tiah Sackie Moore, commended the SCAA for its dedication to improving healthcare delivery in Liberia.
She encouraged other county associations abroad to follow the SCAA’s example in supporting national development initiatives.
The nutritional supplements will be distributed to health facilities across Sinoe County, ensuring pregnant women in all districts benefit equally from the donation.
This initiative, Geelar said highlights the growing impact of diaspora-led development support in strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system and protecting the lives of mothers and children.
