Voinjama ,Lofa county-Wednesday, May 14,2025- The Tellewoyan Memorial hospital in Voinjama city and the people of Lofa County are now celebrating for the donation of a modern Digital X-Ray machine to the Hospital by the Joseph Nyumah Boakai Foundation.
Lofa County Health Officer, Dr. Moses Weidehga disclosed that after several concerns raised by the County Health Team and community members, as well as the media; especially Radio Wologizi 87.9 FM in Voinjama city that the only X-ray machine at Tellewoyan was damaged and needed repair, they were able to reach out to the President of the republic.
Accordingly, “Lofa has benefitted from the President’s foundation a digital x-ray,” God to you, belongs the glory Dr. Weidehga remarked.
From today onward, “Our people will not go to Sierra Leone or Guinea anymore,” Lofa County Health Officer Dr. Moses Weidehga said.
Sometime ago, Radio Wologizi 87. 9 FM here in Voinjama city continually alarmed that the only referral hospital in Lofa County, the Tellewoyan Memorial hospital was without a functional, x-ray machine.

It is believed that this plus other concerns expressed by the broader community led to the President’s Foundation gifting the modern digital x-ray machine to Tellewoyan hospital.
Prior to this donation, patients were transferred to neighboring Guinea or Sierra Leone for x-ray check.
Meanwhile, Lofa County Health Officer Dr. Moses Weidehga has disclosed that additional reform work will shortly take place at the Tellewoyan Memorial hospital.
“Currently, we restricting the visiting hours at Tellewoyan Memorial hospital; meaning not anytime or anyone will enter and sit on patient’s bed. Additionally, we got new professional doctors coming to work at the Tellewoyan Memorial hospital from Monrovia to make sure the facility is functional to the needs of the community,” County Health Officer Dr. Moses Weidehga said during an interview.
