Lofa County, Voinjama City –Thursday, February 25, 2025- Lofa County district #5 Lawmaker Honorable Augustine Chiwolo says, the Executive Branch of Government is making more money and riding big cars but the public is not concerned about them, only the first Branch of Government the Legislature everyone is calling and making requests.

“How many times you hear people going to Ministers, Deputy Ministers or Assistant Ministers for help or for Scholarships and other things, everything is just to representatives and senators for help. And the ministers in the Executive Branch are making more money than us “Representative Augustine Chiwolo said in a Radio interview on Tuesday February 25, 2025 in Voinjama.

According to Hon. Chiwolo, lawmakers are challenged with a lot of requests from Community members, local leaders and County officials while they are making less money than the executive branch.

“Imagine the number of calls we received daily from people in the district for help, imagine the number of calls we received daily from students for scholarships and family members as well, how many ministers received such calls a day, and the ministers are making more money than us ”  Representative Augustine Chiwolo lamented.

Meanwhile, Representative Chiwolo over the weekend concluded town hall meetings with several communities in his district to decide on developmental projects this 2025.

According to him, the Town Hall was successful and there were several recommendations from citizens ranging from reconciliation, farm to market roads and several other issues.

He said, as the people’s representative, his office will work on those recommendations and get back to the citizens for action.
