    Tragic Fire Incident Claims Life of Infant in Zwedru!

    Grand County, Zwedru – February 4, 2025 – A devastating fire broke out in the Zwedru packing area of Zwedru, reportedly resulting in the tragic death of a 10 month-old baby named Braham Keita.

    The incident, which occurred in the early morning hours, has left the local community in shock, bewilderment and mourning.

    Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as flames engulfed the structure, with thick smoke billowing into the sky. Nearby residents rushed to the scene, attempting to extinguish the fire and rescue those trapped inside. Despite their efforts, the fire spread rapidly, complicating rescue attempts.

    Residents cum onlookers on the scene of the disaster which unfortunately claimed the life a 10-year old baby.

    Local authorities and fire service were alerted and arrived promptly, but by the time they managed to control the blaze, it was too late for the infant, whose identity was later released. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with officials working to determine how the incident occurred.

    Community leaders have expressed their condolences to the grieving family and are calling for increased fire safety measures in the area to prevent such tragedies in the future. “This is a heartbreaking loss for our community,” said a local leader. “We must come together to support the family and ensure that we take steps to protect our homes and loved ones”, another onlooker whose sadness written on his face intoned.

    As the investigation continues, residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that could lead to similar incidents.
