    UMU Welcomes New and Returning Students with Orientation for 2025/2026 Academic Year

    Monrovia, Liberia, Sunday- October 12, 2025- The United Methodist University (UMU) recently welcomed new and returning students to campus for a comprehensive orientation program, marking the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.

    The event, held at the first United Methodist Church on Ashmun Street in Monrovia, aimed to familiarize students with the university’s policies, facilities, and expectations.

    During the orientation, the university President Rev. Dr. Emmanuel F. Bailey emphasized the importance of academic excellence, community engagement, and spiritual growth.

    Dr. Bailey highlighted the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education and nurturing students’ intellectual, spiritual, and social development.

    The orientation program covers Self-introduction, rules and governing including general overview of colleges departments, remarks, presentations on admission policies, registration procedures among others.

    The university showcased its modern facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, libraries, and computer centers. These facilities provide students with a conducive learning environment and opportunities to develop practical skills.

    UMU offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various disciplines, including College of Science and Technology, College of Health Sciences, College of Management and Administration as well the Joseph Jenkins Roberts College of Education, featuring courses in basic disciplines.

    The university’s orientation program included activities designed to promote student engagement, teamwork, and community building. Students participated in icebreaker sessions, team-building exercises, and social events, helping to foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

    The United Methodist University is committed to providing high-quality education and nurturing students who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities.
