Monrovia, Liberia-Wednesday, August 20, 2025- The University of Liberia Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), in collaboration with the University of Liberia Faculty Association (ULFA), has convened a five-day Faculty Professional Training Workshop.
The workshop, themed “Professionalism in Education,” aims to empower educators with the necessary tools and skills to enhance their teaching practices.
Workshop featured the university’s multiple campuses, including Capitol Hill, Fendell, College of Health Sciences, and David Straz-Sinje Technical and Vocational campus respectively.
The ongoing initiative highlights key topics like Developing course syllabi, management skills, teachers’ dress code, ethical issues in education, research and publication skills, and technology integration in the classroom.
With key objectives of fostering professional development and improve teaching practices among faculty members, the workshop is also aimed to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes through effective teaching methods, encourage collaboration among faculty members and promote a culture of excellence in education.
Meanwhile, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Agnes Reeves Taylor, and the President of ULFA, Dr. Johnny S. K. Momoh, have urged faculty members to participate in the workshop and take advantage of the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.
The ongoing workshop is expected to have a positive impact on the University’s academic environment and student outcomes.
