Kalaihun Town,Lofa County – Wednesday,April 16, 2025-Latest report from Lofa County says the Liberia Drugs enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested a 30-year-old woman with huge quantity of Marijuana.
According to our correspondent in the area, Jenneh Mollay was arrested on April 14, 2025 with the majurina in Kailahun Town, Lukambeh District on her farm where she grows Marijuana. It is reported that Mollay grows the substance as her major source of income for her sustainability.
According to Lofa County’s LDEA commander Special Agent Kpehe Lomax, they received an intelligence that there were several locals who were involved in Marijuana farming in Lukambeh, Wahassa and Vahun districts. After the tip-off, officers of the LDEA carried out a special operation there.
During police preliminary investigation in Kolahun, Mollay admitted to committing the crime and pleaded for mercy.
She was first arrested with her husband, but later her husband was released after Police preliminary investigation on ground that he the husband was not aware of the Marijuana farm.
Mollay’s husband is a physically challenged person who is believed not to be aware about Mollay’s efforts in growing the substance on her farm.
She is presently in Police custody in Kolahun, awaiting trial while the 2,384 kilogram-Marijuana has been transported to Voinjama City at the LDEA office.
The street value of the confiscated drugs is put at $5,100USD or a little over 1,000,000 Liberia Dollars.

Meanwhile, the LDEA Lofa County commander Special Agent Kpehe Lomax is appealing to central government for mobility to enhance his function in the County.
