River Gee County –Monday, August 11, 2025 – A 35-year-old woman, Beatrice Quayee, also known as “Finish Fine,” has died after drowning in a creek in Gbeapo Kanweaken, River Gee County.

According to friends and relatives, Quayee had epilepsy and was living with her boyfriend, “Opa,” who reportedly has mental health challenges. The pair lived together in Gbeapo Kanweaken, where she often earned money by washing clothes for others.

Over the weekend, while doing her own laundry near the creek, Quayee reportedly suffered an epileptic seizure, causing her to fall into the water. With no one nearby to assist, she drowned.

A passerby later reported the incident to River Gee County Coroner Derrick P. Keah.

A 15-member jury examined her body and found no evidence of foul play. Her remains were then released to friends and family for burial.
