Zorzor, Lofa County – Friday, October 10,2025-Representative Augustine B. Chewolo, of Lofa County Electoral District #5, has begun the construction of a modern water pump at the Zorzor Administrative Building, aimed at improving access to safe drinking water for residents and workers in the area.

According to the Chief of Office Staff, Mr. Peter Tokpah, construction work commenced three days ago and is still ongoing. He disclosed this during an interview with journalists on October 9, 2025.

Speaking later in a telephone interview on the Alternative Breakfast Show hosted by Anthony B. Sumo, Mr. Tokpah revealed that the project is estimated to cost six hundred United States dollars (US$600).

He noted that Representative Chewolo remains deeply committed to addressing the development needs of both Zorzor and Salayea Districts, adding that the water pump construction is part of several ongoing initiatives by the lawmaker to enhance the living conditions of local residents.

Mr. Tokpah concluded by saying that once completed, the water facility will serve the administrative building and surrounding communities, providing them with a reliable source of clean water.
