Zorzor City came alive recently as football fans witnessed a thrilling international friendly, where Zorzor District secured a 2–0 victory over visiting Koiyama Sous-prefecture of the Republic of Guinea.
The match began with intensity, and Zorzor drew first blood in the opening half. A powerful header from Dennis Gbagbaku fell kindly to Edward Teewu — the Gompa United 3rd Division striker — who calmly slotted home to give the host team a deserving lead.
In the second half, the momentum remained with Zorzor. Bryant Zaza, a promising talent from Idea FC in the 3rd Division, doubled the advantage with a clinical finish, sealing the win and sparking jubilation among the home crowd.

The encounter drew scores of citizens from both Guinea and Liberia, creating a vibrant atmosphere of football, unity, and cross-border friendship.
With the 2–0 result, Zorzor District not only celebrated victory on the pitch but also showcased the growing football spirit and talent within the district.
