Voinjama City –The group stage of the ongoing Lofa County Electoral District League officially concluded on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Voinjama Sports Pitch, with an intense goalless draw between District #1 (Foya) and District #2 (Vahun).
Despite the 0–0 stalemate, both teams successfully booked their spots in the semi-finals following strong performances throughout the group stage.
According to the official league standings, District #4 (Voinjama) finished at the top of the table with 4 points, followed closely by District #2 (Foya), also with 4 points. District #5 (Zorzor & Salayea) secured 3 points, while District #1 (Vahun) ended the group stage with 2 points, earning the last semi-final qualification slot.
Unfortunately, District #3 (Kolahun) failed to progress to the next stage after finishing at the bottom of the group.
The semi-final fixtures are set for Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Voinjama Sports Pitch. District #4 (Voinjama) will go head-to-head with District #5 (Zorzor & Salayea) in the first semi-final, while District #2 (Vahun) will take on District #1 (Foya) in the second encounter.
The third-place playoff is scheduled for Saturday, followed by the grand finale on Sunday, November 2, 2025, where the ultimate champion of the 2025 Electoral District League will be crowned.
Organizers have announced that the winners of this year’s tournament will walk away with attractive cash prizes and awards, as part of efforts to boost sports development and unity across Lofa County.
