NIMBA – State Radio’s Upper Nimba correspondent has reported that the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Nimba County detachment has arrested a 64-year-old woman with 114 wraps and a black nylon full of marijuana in Sanniquellie City, Nimba County.
The woman identified as Sannie Mulbah was arrested in the Garmagbein Community, following a tipoff received by the LDEA from community dwellers, according to Madison Gallar, LDEA’s Nimba County Officer in Charge.
Officer in Charge Gallar estimated the street value of the drugs confiscated from the 64-year-old at 30,400 Liberian dollars, alleging that Mulbah has been selling drugs for years.
The LDEA senior agent, who disclosed that several community dwellers had previously complained of Mulbah allegedly selling narcotic substances to young people in the area, divulged that during the LDEA preliminary investigation, the 64-year-old lady admitted to being a drug peddler.
Meanwhile, Mulbah has been charged with illegal possession of narcotic substances, sale, and distribution, and she is expected to be forwarded to the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie for trial.
