The Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh, will lead the delegation, which includes representatives from the Legislature, Ministry of Justice, and other stakeholders.

In preparation of the event, the Ministry of Justice recently hosted a high-level preparatory meeting with members of the Government of Liberia’s delegation ahead of the country’s 4th Cycle Universal Periodic Review (UPR) presentation at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.

The meeting focused on finalizing the delegation’s presentation strategy, harmonizing key national reports, and reinforcing Liberia’s commitment to advancing human rights and good governance.

Key stakeholders, Representative Emmanuel Yarl, Chairman, House of Representatives’ Standing Committee on Civil and Human Rights, Cllr. James Verdier, Chief of Staff, Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Atty. Gabriel F. Ndupellar, Assistant Justice Minister for Corrections and Rehabilitation, Kutaka Devine Togbah, Director, Human Rights Division, Ministry of Justice will be in attendance.

The event will feature Mr. Christian Nukosa, Country Representative, UN High Commission on Human Rights, who will represent the United Nations Human Rights Office in Liberia at the Convention.

Minister Tweh commended the inter-ministerial technical team for its diligent work in preparing Liberia’s national report and urged all delegates to present a united and transparent account of the nation’s achievements, challenges, and ongoing reforms.
